Coarse anglers are well catered for with large carp, bream and rudd.
Families with young children can enjoy the play area, beach and pedalos. Upper Tamar Lake offers fun for all the family, with pedalos, surf skis and Canadian canoes for hire as well as dinghies and windsurfers. This majestic water, one of England’s most westerly trout fisheries, is regularly stocked with rainbow trout averaging up to 4lb, and has a natural head of brown trout.
There is a children’s play area, surfaced cycleway to the dam and a refreshment kiosk for sandwiches, snacks and drinks. With plenty of open space for informal games and picnicking, visitors can also enjoy the circular walk around the Lake, a bird hide and the stunning views.
